God is good.......

.....All the time! We had a couple of brief storm last night. No where near the amount of rain we need, but every little bit helps. This rainbow came out between the two storms.

Birthday Party

My parents had a 30th birthday party for Simon and I. It was fun. We had wonderful food catered by Don Juan's Mexican Restaurant. Yummy! It was nice to have so many of our friends able to attend. Thanks everyone!

This is Avery Ray and her dad, Jon. They had a good time blowing bubbles.

Looking forward to Visits.

Simon and I are looking forward to Simon's brother Adam and his girlfriend, Catherine's visit at the end of July.

Simon's parents are also coming to visit in August. We are looking forward to their visit as well.

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's day to Jim, Robert and all fathers out there!
Saturday afternoon David and Ashley came up to celebrate Father's day and Simon's birthday. Unfortunately, Simon had to go to work before they got here. We missed him and dinner, but had a nice meal at Mom and Dad's. Today I went with my parents to the City Club to had lunch after church. Simon had to work.

To Robert: We hope you had a wonderful Father's day. We are sorry we were unable to be there to celebrate with you. We are looking forward to your visit in August.

Happy Birthday Simon!

Finally Simon has caught up with me. He turned 30 on the 13th. Of course he is only 40 days younger than me, he still claims he is married to an older woman. Whatever! Simon had to work on his birthday, but we celebrated after work. We got on Skype with his parents and they were able to watch him open his gifts live. What great technology. He really enjoyed his gifts: new 'smart' shirt, Guinness golf tees, a real shamrock from Ireland, a new 3-wheeled golf trolley, a new golf umbrella, a new game for the Wii(Indian Jones, Lego) and a gift card to buy another game.

Saturday morning Simon and I went to breakfast with my parents at Cracker Barrel. That is where my parents gave Simon his golf umbrella. Funny story: Simon was just starting to unwrap it and the waitress comes by with more coffee and says "Oh, did you get a new umbrella?" Even though it was obvious what it was wrapped, she spoiled the surprise.

It's been a while....

It has been a while since I have posted anything new, so I thought I would catch you up. A couple of weekends ago Simon and I headed to the coast for the weekend. However, we did not go together. Simon went on golfing trip with 20 men. He knew one other guy from Target before they left. They played 4 rounds of golf in 4 days. He enjoyed it, but it was HOT!. This was the weekend that was close to 100 all weekend. Simon says he would do the trip again, but would perfer it to be cooler. While he was golfing, my parents and I headed to my Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mike's for the weekend in Morehead City. They were so nice to let Lexie come along. We had a nice time as well. We did some walking, some yard sales, and went to the beach for a short time. Again, it was really hot. As you can see Lexit got to put her paws in the Atlantic for the first time. She did try to take a drink, but leared her lesson.

The best place to eat seafood in Morehead City is at my Aunt and Uncle's house. Fresh shrimp and soft shelled crab. YUMMY!. (Simon is not a big fan of seafood, so he was ok missing the feast) While we were waiting for dinner Lexie played with my cousin's children, Annabell, Grace, Junior, and Ruby. The older children took turns walking Lexie around the yard. Ruby chased her around the island in the kitchen. She was so patient with them. Lexie was very good on her first long road trip (5 hours). She stood up the entire time on the way down there, she did not want to miss anything. On the way home, she did sleep some. After we got home, she slept alot.
