Simon and I finally got our garden ready to plant some veges. We usually grow the veges from seed, but this year we decided to buy plants that have already been started. We turned over the dirt and added some dirt from the composter. It did not smell good. I hope it is good for the plants. Simon about lost his breakfast due to the smell.
We planted Squash, Zucchini, 
Cucumbers, yellow and orange Peppers, and lettuce. We have strawberries, rasberries, and blackberries coming back from previous years. Of course while we were working in the garden Lexie was watching out for the chipmunks. All during the summer she has to check all of the drainpipes in the back yard to make sure there are no chipmunks in them. And if there are, she will wait all day for them to come out. Saturday she decided to try to dig under the drainpipe to see if she could get to the chipmunks any easier. All she did was make a mess in the flowerbed.
